Cumberland gives homeowners two very different settings. Along Route 88, Cumberland Foreside and Broad Cove put homes close to the water, where renovations and additions often aim to open rooms to the view and make better use of an established lot. Farther inland, around Cumberland Center, larger parcels leave room for new construction designed from the ground up.
On the Foreside, much of our work is about improving a house you already love. That might be reworking a dated layout, remodeling a kitchen and bathrooms, or adding a primary suite or sunroom that looks like it was always part of the home. Waterfront sites bring extra planning around permitting and weather exposure, and we account for both in the schedule.
For new homes on bigger lots, the conversation starts with how you want to live: orientation for light, outdoor spaces, and how the house fits its surroundings. You will make selections for every material we order, with our recommendations based on your drawings and budget.
Some Cumberland residents split time with Chebeague Island, reached by ferry. If you live part of the year elsewhere, our daily photo updates by text keep you close to the project no matter where you are.
